Port Blair, Dec 16: Martyrs of the 1971 war were remembered in a memorial service here on Thursday on the occasion of 51stVijay Diwas celebrations, which mark India’s victory over Pakistan. The day was celebrated with traditional enthusiasm by retired veterans of Defence Forces at Marina Park Memorial this morning at around 09:00AM, officers laid the wreaths at the memorial.A large number of Ex-Servicemen (ESM) belonging to the Army, Navy and Air Force, participated in the celebrations and paid homage to the martyrs who laid down their lives in the Indo-Pak war of 1971.
