Port Blair, Dec 13: In support of the All India Strike by central government employees, the postal employees at Port Blair organized Mass Demonstration at morning, lunch hour and evening. The demonstration was organized jointly by the All India Postal Employees Union Class III, Class IV and GDS. A large number of postal employees posted at Port Blair participated in the programme which was led by Mr. Stephen Fernandez, Divisional Secretary, AIPEU (Class III), Mr. Anadi Ranjan Bhattacharjee, Divisional Secretary, AIPEU (Class IV) and Mr. Athanu Bhattacharjee, AIPEDU.
The leaders while addressing the employees condemned various anti-employee attitude of the central government and demanded immediate settlement of all the 15 demands which were raised by the Confederation of Central Govt. Employees & Workers, New Delhi.
