Port Blair, Nov 11: As part of the sensitization on Cleanliness among the islanders of Andaman Island Andaman & Nicobar Regional Centre, Anthropological Survey of India, Port Blair carried out a special cleanliness programme in collaboration with India Tourism, Ministry of Tourism, Port Blair today, 11-november-2022. Special cleanliness drive was carried out by clearing the bushes and garbage from the premises of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Port Blair. The ashram children took part in this cleanliness drive and a message was given to the children towards sensitizing about cleanliness of the surroundings where they live.
To mark this occasion a few fruit plants were planted in the premises of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram by the dignitaries present there like Mr. Ramakrishnan, Assistant Director India Tourism, Dr. NilanjanKhatua, Head of Office, Anthropological survey of India. Dr Sumitabha Chakraborty, Mr.GituYaikhom, Ms. Suman Ravindran, Mr. Muthu Pandi of Anthropological Survey of India , Dr Vivek Sahu, Assistant Professor, JNRM. The Ashram Children participated with great joy.
