Port Blair, Nov 11: The Andaman College Teachers Association (ACTA), has organised a Seminar on “Role of Teachers in Nation Building ” on 10th November 2022 in the Seminar Room, JNRM. The Chief Guest Mr. D. Bhanudas, All India General Secretary, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari has informed that patriotism to be inculcated in our action and be a living example through which students can imbibe the best qualities from the teachers for nation building. While describing the students teachers relationship, Mr. D. Bhanudas, has cited the example of Ramakrishna Paramhansh and Swami Vivekananda and the role of teacher like Ramakrishna Paramhansh in transforming narendra to Vivekananda. The nation which includes culture, knowledge, tradition and wisdom which are symbolise through our action to make a great place to live in harmony. Dr.H.K.Sharma, Principal, JNRM spoke about the role of teachers in shaping the lives of students to serve the nation and also urged the faculty members to guide them in order to achieve their goals. Mrs.Pearl Devdas, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Geography spoke on the teaching learning process and the importance of teachers and their role for igniting the young minds. Earlier Mr. N.Balakrishnan, President, ACTA has thrown light on the activities of ACTA by giving brief introduction and action plan. Dr.K.Venkatesan, Secretary ACTA welcomed the gathering while Dr.Vivek Kumar Sahu, Treasurer, and ACTA proposed vote of thanks to Dr.Kandimuthu, Assistant Professor of Economics moderated the entire programme.
