Diglipur, Oct 18: In a bid to alleviate the sufferings of the residents of the Nishchintapur village, the District Administration of N & M Andaman has repaired the wooden bridge across the Kalighat Creek thereby bringing their transport and communication system to normalcy.
The wooden bridge in question is the sole means of transport and communication system of the remote village of Nishchintapur under Diglipur Tehsil which recently collapsed thereby putting the residents of this segregated area in utter trouble.
However, the pathetic condition of the residents of this region was exclusively reported and published by Andaman Sheekha Daily recently and it is the impact of the reporting and as a result of which the matter was duly addressed and the problem promptly redressed by the Administration.
Meanwhile, the residents of this area are happy to see their wooden bridge repaired and they hailed the administration for their quick and tactful restoration of the sole means of transport and communication system. The wooden bridge was repaired in close coordination with the Forest Department, Diglipur and Panchayat of the area in mere 4 working days, as per the tweet from the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
