Port Blair, Oct. 14: The Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration will be conducting befitting programmes to commemorate the anniversary of the establishment of Provisional Government of Azad Hind (PGI) in a weeklong programme from 17th to 23rd October, 2022. The aim of conducting these programmes is to create awareness among the general public especially among the young generation about the contribution of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in the Indian Freedom struggle.
As part of the programme, drawing competition and patriotic songs will be organized in schools on 17th and 18thOctober, 2022 by Directorate of Education and College level elocution competition will be organized on 19thand 20thOctober,2022. On 21stOctober, 2022, a felicitation programme will be conducted at Andaman Club to felicitate surviving members of INA / IIL personnel. Historians have been invited to highlight the role of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in the Indian freedom struggle. During the week long function, Quiz competition will be organized at GMS Homfraygunj. NukkadNatak will be also be presented at various locations by school children on 22ndOctober, 2022 on the theme ‘Netaji’s contribution in the freedom struggle’.
