Port Blair, Sept 29: The Communist Party of India (Marxist), Andaman & Nicobar State Organising Committee has condemned the police action on the agitating students of DBRAIT yesterday (28.09.2022) night at Port Blair. It is condemnable that the police used force against the peacefully agitating students, used water cannon and tear gas to disperse the students. A few students sustained serious injuries during the police action.
It is shameful on the part of the BJP-led central government and A & N Administration that instead of talking to the students, the police was used to suppress the agitation.
CPI (M) calls upon the central government to desist from using police force against the peaceful agitation by students and intervene in the matter to resolve the demands of the students.
