Port Blair, Sept. 16: The inister of Jal Shakti, Mr.Gajendra Singh Shekhawat will be arriving on a visit to these Islands tomorrow (Sept. 17). Soon after arrival, the Minister will visit Calicut Gram Panchayat during which he will visit ‘AmritSarovar’ site, IHHL, organic waste compost and interact with the beneficiaries. Thereafter, the Minister will visit Solid Waste Management Cluster at Beodnabad and interact with the PRIs.
In the afternoon, the Minister of Jal Shakti will attend a function at DBRAIT auditorium wherein, he is scheduled to declare ‘SwachhEvamSujal Andaman & Nicobar Islands’ and also address the gathering . The Minister is also scheduled to interact with PRI members and beneficiaries. Lt Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency, Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Mr.Keshav Chandra will also attend the function.
Later, in the evening, the Minister of Jal Shakti will visit the National Memorial Cellular Jail and witness Light & Sound show there. Thereafter, the Minster will visit Flag Point, an official release received from Protocol A&N Administration said.
