Port Blair, Sep 12: The District Administration of South Andaman ensuring zero tolerance towards encroachment on Govt. land, carried out an encroachment eviction drive on 10th September 2022 at Shaheed Dweep under Port Blair Tehsil.
In Port Blair Tehsil the eviction drive was carried and the fresh encroachment committed in the shape of stalls and shops were removed at Lakshmanpur village (Shaheed Dweep) near the beach area and restored an area of 500 sq meters into the Govt. account. The eviction drive was carried out in coordination with the representative of the Forest Department, APWD and the Police personnel.
