Baratang, Jul 17: Due to cyclonic weather and heavy wind, an old and dry tree lost its grip on the soft soil and fell on a house and Hotel situated at Nilambur Jetty, Baratang yesterday night at around 11.00 PM. Luckily no one suffered any injuries in the incident.
As per the local residents, yesterday night during cyclonic weather the family members and hotel workers saw that due to intense wind, several tree branches fell on the roof of the house. Immediately they came out from the house and suddenly the whole tree fell on the house and hotel. The house and hotel were completely damaged in the incident.
As per the information House belongs to Mr. Emanuel Tirky and the name of the hotel is Guna Hotel owned by Mr. Subbhaiah. After the incident matter was reported to the Fire Station Baratang. The police team and Fire team reached the spot and cleared the fallen debris from the area.
