Port Blair, July 07: The CITU, Andaman & Nicobar State Committee deeply mourned the sudden and untimely demise of Shri VK Krishnadas (popularly known as Chandran), former staff of the Electricity Department at Rangat and Secretary, CITU Middle Andaman Zonal Committee, on 5th July, 2022 at his home town in Pathanamthitta District, Kerala. He was 63 years and left behind his wife and a son. He was the leader of the BijliKaamgar Union and was in the forefront of all the movements conducted by the workers in the Middle Andaman area. A popular trade union leader in Rangat, Shri Krishnadas was liked by all sections of people in the area irrespective of ideologies. CITU pays rich homages to late Krishnadas and dips its red flag in memory of the departed leader. CITU conveyed its condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
