Port Blair, Jun 13: A meeting was held between Mr. JitendraNarain, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration and Councillors of various wards along with Mrs. KavitaUdhaya Kumar, Chairperson, PBMC on 13th June 2022.
One of the crucial issues raised during the meeting by Mr. Aziz ulRehman, Councillor Ward No. 6,was to solve the problem of the miserable road condition towards the Hindu Cremation Ground in Ward no. 06, which has been in the poorest shape for a long time.
He pointed out that the repair work has been carried out multiple times but with the limited funds at the Council’s disposal, it has never been completed for good.
The ward councillors presented the requirement of estimated funds for the construction of multiple roads connecting to the Hindu Cremation Ground and as per reports Mr. JitendraNarain, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration has immediately acknowledged the issue and directed the APWD to take action and resolve the issue at the earliest.
Councillors of PBMC have expressed deepest gratitude to the Chief Secretary for this immediate action.
