Port Blair, Apr 11: Mrs. Kavitha Udhaya Kumar, Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council along with Mr. Azizur Rahman, Senior Vice-Chairperson and a team of Officials headed by Mr. S Asha (Executive Engineer (WW)) visited various areas in the Municipal limits on 09th April 2022.
The team visited the Girl’s hostel compound of JNRM College. The team interacted with inmates and wherein the issue of water supply was discussed by the Civic Chief directed the officials to short out the issue at the earliest.
Further, the Civic chief visited areas of Bhathu Basthi and other places in Ward No. 24 and directed the officials concerned to look into the issues and also said the prime duty of the Civic Body is to provide basic and better civic infrastructure to the local populace. The Chairperson directed the concerned Officials to clean/renovate all the wells within the Municipal Limits.
