Port Blair, Apr 08: The 34th National Under-12 Chess Championship 2022 (Boys & Girls) was organized by the All India Chess Federation under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, GoI will begin on 09th April 2022 at Mandya, Karnataka.
More than 350 players across India will be participating in the Championship in which four players from Andaman and Nicobar Islands are participating namely D Shrestha Vijay of Carmel Sr. Secondary School, J. S. Virat and M Tanish of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Lambaline and V. Amrithavarshini of KV 1, Port Blair.
The championship will be held for six days from 9th April to 14th April 2022 over 9 rounds in classical mode. The total cash prize for the championship is rupees eight lakhs which will be awarded among the top twenty players in the Boys and Girls category.
