Diglipur, March 09: The result of the Panchayat Election-2022 of Diglipur Tehsil was declared yesterday. Although the official figures from office of DPME is still awaited but as per our sources out of total 15 Gram Panchayats, the BJP won 9 panchayats while INC won 03 panchayats, Independent candidates won 2, one in GP Diglipur another one GP Ramnagar while the GP Shibpur was won by the CPI(M).
The BJP did fairly well in Panchayat Samiti as well. Out of 15 Samities, the BJP had an edge over INC thereby retaining 8 Samities while 6 won by INC, one won by Independent candidate. Out of 7 ZPMs, the BJP won 4 while INC managed to win the rest 03.
Winning candidates were seen jubilantly celebrating their victories with supporters. The counting of votes was held in a peaceful atmosphere and no reports of disruption or disturbance was reported. The Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur monitored the activities of counting of votes very closely during the entire period of vote counting, sources said.
