Port Blair, Mar 09: The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands to provide a Mobile Veterinary Clinic cum Operation Theater for people of Andaman and Nicobar Islands so that in serious cases animals/pets could be attended anywhere and operated on the spot.
In a letter addressed to the Lt. Governor the Member of Parliament mentioned that for animals/pets suffering from serious ailments there is no Mobile Veterinary Clinic cum Operation Theater facility available in Andaman and Nicobar islands.
He added that in case of a serious ailment, people have to first find a veterinary clinic and then take their animals/pets to the clinic by hiring a vehicle or cargo van, which is a very difficult task.
The Member of Parliament mentioned that in the case of Mobile Veterinary Clinic cum Operation Theater the animals/pets suffering from serious ailment will get treatment at their doorstep, due to which people will be able to take better care of animals in Andaman and Nicobar islands.
