Port Blair, Mar 08: Ms. D Radika, who contested from Ward Number 23, as an independent candidate has won the Port Blair Municipal Council elections, leaving many surprised and equally shocked.
After the results, talking to Andaman Sheekha Daily, Ms. D Radhika expressed gratitude towards the general public of her wards, who have shown faith in her.
“First of all, I would like to mention that this victory is not only mine as I have managed to win because of teamwork and with the efforts of all. Earlier I had tried to get a ticket from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) but due to some reasons that couldn’t happen, after which, I decided to contest the election as an Independent Candidate,” she added.
