Port Blair, Feb 21: Andaman Sangeet Academy (ASA), Junglighat, Port Blair, celebrated the “24th International Mother Language Day” on 21st February 2022 at Manikshaw Enclave, Haddo, Port Blair.
Mr. Tapas Kumar Das, President of the Academy was the Chief Guest in the cultural programme. The Function was inaugurated with the floral tribute on the photo of Bhasha Sahid Smarak Mancha. Mrs. Supriya Dutta, a member of ASA welcomed the gathering.
The members and students of Andaman Sangeet Academy (ASA) presented an inaugural song ‘Aamar Bhaiyer Rakte Rangano 21 Shee February’. Further in the programme, Solo Songs, Group Songs, and Poems were presented. Later in the function Chief Guest, Mr. Tapas Kumar Das addressed the audience.
The programme was concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Mr. Soumen Home Chowdhury, the General Secretary, ASA, Junglighat, Port Blair.
