Port Blair, Feb 15: The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President Mr. Rangalal Halder alleged that the BJP had put up hoardings on city roundabouts for the upcoming Municipal Council Elections.
In a letter addressed to the Director of Panchayat & Municipal Election, A&N Islands Mr. Halder alleged that the BJP had put up hoardings on roundabouts in the city. It is unauthorized, illegal and a clear violation of the Model Code of Conduct.
The letter also mentioned that such illegal boards or materials should be removed immediately and expenses borne on such publicity material should be added to the election expenditure of individual candidates.
He urged to initiate appropriate legal action in this regard and intimate the action taken thereupon.
