Port Blair, Jan 30: A 50 years-old fisherman died after falling into the sea near Marine area this morning.
According to reports, today at around 04:00 AM four fishermen carrying construction materials in a dinghy left for Swaraj Dweep Islands from Port Blair Jetty.
While reaching near the Marine area at around 05:00 AM one fisherman accidentally fell into the sea due to rough sea. Other fishermen present in the dinghy tried to find him but they could not locate him.
Immediately the matter was informed to A&N Police, following which a search operation started. After an hour a floating body was found near the seashore area of the Dignabad, which was later shifted to GB Pant Hospital.
According to Police, the body has been identified as Mr. Kuldeep Kujur, 50 years, a permanent resident of Long Islands, who was presently staying at Nayashahr area of South Andaman District.
