Port Blair, Jan 06: An awareness Programme on COVID-19 protocol was today organized by Nai Manzil (NGO) in active collaboration with District Administration, South Andaman in the multipurpose hall of Community college at Ferrargunj.
This event was organized keeping in mind the next possible third wave of Covid-19 and its variant and helping the rural community to adapt to new protocols which would eventually benefit them during the possible next wave. A large number of locals had turned up for this awareness program where representatives from the local administration were present to acquaint the gathering about the new protocols, it is learnt.
According to the reliable source, while speaking to the gathering, the organizer of this event Mr. P Abdul Basheer of Nai Manzil (NGO) explained the importance of following Covid related rules and regulations which shall be of great help to individuals. At the end of his short speech, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Sunil Anchipaka, IAS, (Deputy Commissioner of South Andaman) for his enduring support and valuable inputs on this event. Sharing the ideas, Mr. Yogesh Kumar Singh (Asst Director, MSME, Port Blair) urged the gathering to maintain the required protocols and also ask every attendee to spread the importance of following protocols to their family and friends. Also, Mr. Dilip (AE, Electricity Dept) ask the participants to observe in and around their locality to help people in need during tough times.
Later Mr. P. Abdul Basheer in his vote of thanks mentioned once again the efforts and support showered by the Deputy Commissioner Mr. Sunil Anchipaka which made the event possible. He furthermore expressed his gratitude to Mr. Nagendra, Program Officer, DC office, South Andaman for his valuable suggestions and inputs for the event.
