Port Blair, Dec 24: Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member BJP, Member of Home Ministry Advisory Committee, Govt. of India & Former State President BJP A & N has requested the Chief Secretary, A & N Administration for providing Ship service from Port to Chennai and back for Pilgrimages.
In his letter he wrote that Sabarimala and Om Shakti Pilgrimages is going on, the devotees from Andaman and Nicobar Islands also wish to join the Pilgrims at Sabrimala and Chennai respectively. Therefore a ship service from port Blair to Chennai in the 1st Week of January 2022 and returning ship may be provided in the mid of January 2022 will enable the poor devotees to perform Pilgrimage at low cost as the rate of flights are soaring high, he added.
