Port Blair, Dec 24: Testing for COVID-19 either through RT-PCR or RAT has been exempted for all travelers between inter-island sectors and Port Blair irrespective of the vaccination status and asymptomatic. However, no symptomatic passenger will be allowed to travel from inter-island sector to Port Blair. Testing for travelers from Port Blair to inter-island sectors will be carried as per SOPs in force in view of the threat of the Omicron variant to avoid any outbreak of COVID-19 in these islands, a circular issued by the health department said.
