Port Blair, Nov 22: National Book Week was held in GSSS Kalighat, North Andaman, from 14th Nov. 2021 to 20th Nov. 2021. The principal, GSSS Kalighat, Mr. Ved Prakash Mishra inaugurated the programme at 8.45.00 AM where he highlighted about the importance of the books in everyday life of the students.
Several competitions were held for the students based on the topic “Ek Bharath Shresth Bharat” for Drawing, “Loh Purush Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel” for Essay & “Pustakalaya ka Mahatv” for speech competition. Smti. Kalphna Mondal, Vice Chairperson PTA, GSSS Kalighat, North Andaman distributed the prizes to the winners.
The closing ceremony ended up with the vote of thanks given by Shri Suresh J. Panicker (Librarian) mean while he highlighted the importance of the use of school library.
