Port Blair, Nov 08: National Students’ Union of India(NSUI) started Save Education, Save Nation campaign in Andaman and Nicobar Islands today.
According to NSUI, the new education policy promotes the centralization and privatization of education. Also, this anti-education policy was brought when there was a period of covid havoc in the whole country.
The campaign was launched by National Secretary & Incharge Ms. Mamatha Nerlige and State President M.A Sajid. NSUI’s National Secretary and State In-charge Ms.Mamatha Nerlige said that privatization of the BJP government will ruin jobs, reservation, and the future.
The privatization of government institutions will end permanent employment opportunities for the youth of the country. Now the new education policy is also promoting privatization, where should the poor go?
NSUI demands from the central government that at least 2 years relaxation in age limit should be given to the students at the central level and state level in competitive examinations. Because 2 years of students have been completely wasted during the Corona period.
Significantly, after the loss of the Corona period, the students have not yet recovered from the loss and this movement of NSUI has given voice to the demands of the students.
