Port Blair, Nov 05: At a time when the kin and blood relatives refuse from cremating the dead bodies of their loved ones, a group of Congress workers under the direction of the Member of Parliament Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, has taken up the noble task of conducting last rites of people who have no one in this world. The service is being done free of cost and irrespective of religion.
As part of this mission, today the Congress workers gave a dignified farewell to Mr. Ganesh Roy who died on 1st November, 2021 due to suicide. The departed person hailed from Campbell Bay.
The information about the corpse was passed by Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, after which the Congress workers brought the body from G.B Pant Hospital to Junglighat crematorium, where the last rites were performed. The Congressmen followed all religious rituals while cremating the dead body.
