Port Blair, Nov 03: Ex Member of Parliament, A&N Islands Mr Bishnu Pada Ray met with Smti Smriti Irani, Minister of women and child development of India and presented the Memorandum and requested her to release the fund of various scheme of Govt Of India i. e., 1) Integrated Child Protection Scheme : Rs. 7,74,50,511 /- 2) Poshan Abhiyaan : Rs. 332.11 lakh 3) Pradhan Mantri Matri Vandana Yojana : Rs. 88.20 lakh 4) Integrated Child Development Scheme : Rs. 22.00 lakh
Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Ex MP, ANI informed her that many employees of Social Welfare Department are the lone bread earner for their family. Due to non-payment of monthly salary they are unable to pay the rent for rented accommodation. They are totally under pressure due to the present financial crisis. Smti Smriti Irani reportedly assured to give special attention to release the fund at the earliest.
