Port Blair, Nov 02: The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma today visited Primary Health Centre Manglutan and Primary Health Centre Chouldari, South Andaman. During the visit, he interacted with the patients, the general public and also with the paramedical staff.
The patients and general public of the area while interacting with the Member of Parliament raised several issues related to health infrastructure.
The general public of Manglutan area informed the Member of Parliament that the ambulance of the Primary Health Centre is in bad shape and the Health Centre requires a better ambulance, the general public also informed that the Primary Health Centre does not have a Homeopathic Doctor and demanded posting of a Homeopathic Doctor for the people of the region. The general public also demanded installation of ACs in the mortuary of the PHC Manglutan. Patients informed the Member of Parliament that the Generator Set of the PHC is out of order and they demanded immediate repair of the Generator set.
During his visit to Primary Health Centre Chouldari, the people of the area informed the Member of Parliament that the Primary Health Centre Chouldari has X-Ray machine but there is no X-Ray technician because of which to get X-Ray done, patients have to go to other Health Centers or G B Pant Hospital. The public of the area demanded to post an X-Ray technician in Primary Health Centre immediately.
The Member of Parliament heard the grievances of patients and the General Public patiently and assured to give his best to solve these problems.
