Port Blair, Oct 19: The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) ship Charlie 151 today rescued 12 fishermen after their boat suffered engine failure.
As per information received the Mount Mary fishing boat engine got damaged and soon a distress signal by the crew members was sent and within an hour the ICG rescue team reached the spot and later the boat was brought back safely to Aerial Bay Jetty.
It is informed that people of the Marine Police and Forest Department were present at the Jetty who verified the documents of the fishing boat and personal details of the crew members. (with inputs from news Aaptak team)
