Port Blair, Sept 07: The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Mr Kuldeep Rai Sharma called on the Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Mr Jitendra Narain on Monday.
During the meeting, the Member of Parliament highlighted about the problems being faced by the people of the Kadamtala and Nimbudera region due to lack of ATR express bus service from Port Blair.
The Member of Parliament mentioned that there are around two Panchayats under the Kadamtala region and four Panchayats under the Nimbudera region and people of these areas are suffering heavily in absence of ATR express bus service from Port Blair.
Taking immediate action the Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Administration directed the concerned department to operate STS express bus for Kadamtala and Nimbudera from tomorrow.
The Member of Parliament expressed gratitude towards the Chief Secretary for this swift action for the welfare of the public of the Kadamtala and Nimbudera regions.
