Port Blair, Nov 06: Mr Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, PCC requested the Lt Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Island to consider approval for construction of a dormitory type of shed at the gate of Visakhapatnam Harbour. He said that that most of the time passengers are forced to stand under scorching Sun and heavy rain for hours to board Ships.
Mr Sharma alongwith a delegation of Telugu Community today met the Lt Governor and informed that at present ticket issuing system in Visakhapatnam is in the hands of private agencies, hence for issuing the tickets in proper manner, Mr Sharma requested him to consider a DSS office at Visakhapatnam.
Further Mr Sharma also requested the LG to for approving immediate construction of a guest house by the AN Administration at Visakhapatnam.
Further Mr Sharma also requested the Lt Governor to introduce Science stream in GSS Telugu Medium, Haddo so that the aspirants may opt the subject for their better future. Mr Sharma also urged him to upgrade all Primary schools of Telugu medium available in various Islands to secondary or Sr Sec School so that the students need not to go other Islands for further studies. The Lt Governor reportedly gave a patience hearing and assured to look into these matters as soon as possible.
