Port Blair, Aug 11: Following heavy rain and gusty wind a massive tree fell on a semi RCC house at Guptapara village, leaving two people dead and two others injured.
According to details available here today morning at around 04.30 AM, following bad weather, a massive tree came down crashing on the house of Mrs. K Saroja, 64 years, a resident of Line Dera Guptapara.
Other than Mrs. K Saroja, three other family members were sleeping inside the house, when the incident took place.
As per reports Mrs. K Saroja and Miss Neha, 11 Year died on the spot after coming under the tree. Other two family members survived with minor injuries, it is learnt.
The house was however fully damaged and when the matter was communicated to police, a team of Police and Fire Services reached the spot and recovered both the bodies from the spot.
