Port Blair, Aug 10: Police Station Swaraj Dweep arrested three fishermen under PAT Regulation.
As per information yesterday morning on regular patrolling near Strait Island, a Police Marine Force team spotted an engine dinghy with a three fishermen onboard, very close to Strait Island, which falls under Tribal Area.
Immediately Police Marine Force team intercepted them and detained all three fishermen and later the matter was intimated to Swaraj Dweep Police Unit.
As per source, these three fishermen, residents of Swaraj Dweep were arrested under PAT regulation 1956.Later all were released on bail. Further details are awaited.
