Port Blair, Aug 05: Pankh NGO, in the presence of Mr. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, DC, South Andaman and Mr. Hari Kallikat, IAS, SDM, South Andaman, Swami Sudhananda of Chinmaya Mission and Mrs. Komal Anand, President, Pankh have taken an initiative at Bachra Pahad to adopt 10 senior citizens, 3 widows (who have lost their spouse due to cancer and Covid-19) and one physically challenged person, for their food essentials provided every month to them. They are also providing stationary to 15 children.
During the programme, saplings were planted to encourage the people of Bachara Pahad to practice kitchen gardening.
