Port Blair, Jul 22: Former Pradhan of Sundergarh Panchayat, Baratang Mr. Biju Gurudasan has demanded to re-call the Gram Sabha Panchayat meeting as the recent Gram Sabhya meeting was held without intimating any former PRI members of the village.
Mr. Biju Gurudasan, Ex- Pradhan lodged a strong objection for organising Gram Sabha Panchayat meeting recently without any intimation to former PRI members.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha the former Pradhan of Sundergarh Panchayat, Mr. Biju Gurudasan said that so far as per protocols Panchayat Secretary of any panchayat is supposed to call for a Gram Panchayat meeting and intimate all the members in advance to attend the same.
“This time there was no intimation provided to us for any meeting. I am Pradhan of Sundergarh Panchayat since last 10 years, even I have no information. How can crucial issues be discussed without knowledge of former PRI members,” he questioned. He demanded to re-call the Gram Sabha Panchayat meeting again in Sundergarh village for the larger interest of villagers.
