On Behalf of Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, BJP – ANI extended his warm wishes to all Islanders on the occasion of Eid – ul – Adha / Bakr Id.
Eid – ul – Adha/ Bakr Id is celebrated every year to commemorate Prophet Ibrahims sacrifice of his son in order to prove his devotion to the lord. It was when the prophet offered his sons head to God, he converted into a lambs head instead to serve as a reward for his devotion.
Mr. Ajoy Bairagi requested all Islanders to celebrate the festival in accordance with all Covid-19 Guidelines and Protocols in effect to remain safe and healthy.
