Port Blair, Jul 05: Mr. M.T.Musthafa, the President of Island Protection Forum (IPF), a Non-Government Organization of these Islands has urged the Chief Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Administration to conduct district wise interview for the post of Surveillance Worker.
In his letter addressed to the Chief Secretary he pointed out that the Directorate of Health Services has published an employment Notice on 24 July 2021 for Walk In-Interview for the following posts on 07th June 2021 at 10:00AM in the Conference Hall of DHS, Port Blair. Under which there was vacancy of 05 Head Worker and 17 Surveillance Worker in South Andaman with 15000/- per month remuneration and 16500/- per month in North and Middle Andaman and 18000/- remuneration in Nicobar District.
He further added that the aforementioned post is going to be filled for all Districts but the department is going to conduct interviews only at Port Blair. Many candidates will attend the Interview from different districts of A&N Islands, hence it is requested to avoid crowd and for the convenience of candidates, the proposed interview may kindly be fixed in the District Office of N&M Andaman and Car Nicobar/ Campbell and Little Andaman also during the COVID pandemic.
“Issue necessary directions to conduct the interview at all Districts or the inter Island candidates may be allowed to appear the interview through online mode to avoid the travel through Bus/ ship”, the president added.
