Port Blair, July 01: The adverse effect of lockdown has its toll on the people working in private shops and on those working in house to house to make their livelihood.
The details of 30 such families were provided by Mr. Shadab Riaz, Social Worker of Round Basti to Mr. Mandeep Grewal, President, PBGKR. Acting to it immediately the ration kits were provided to the families.
Mr. Gurmeet Singh, Secretary, PBGKR reached out to 50 more such families from New Pahargaon, Dollygunj and Bathubasti areas when they contacted the PBGKR team on phone.
Mr. Mandeep Grewal appealed the people out islands to be strong as the hardest time of the wave is over and things will be back to track in a week till then South Andaman Administration and many social workers, NGO’s are trying as much as possible to reach out to provide help to the needy families.
