
Port Blair, June 10: Lieutenant General Ajai Singh, AVSM, inspected a Joint Services Guard of Honour and Military Parade at INS Utkrosh on 10th Jun 2021 as the 16th Commander-in-Chief of the Andaman & Nicobar Command (CINCAN). Lieutenant General Ajai Singh assumed command of ANC on 01st Jun 2021. The Guard of Honour and Military Parade comprising of personnel of the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard was commanded by Commander Sunil Dutt Yadav.
While addressing the personnel on parade, the General Officer complimented them for exhibiting a sense of discipline and professionalism through their exceptional turn out, bearing and drill. He lauded all personnel of ANC for maintaining high standards of operational readiness and preparedness for all contingencies in the prevailing security scenario. CINCAN expressed his pride on the achievements of the Command since its inception, which included efficient safeguarding of the A&N Islands and EEZ and successful completion of various national tri-Services and multi-national level exercises as well as assistance to our fellow countrymen and citizens with the Andaman and Nicobar Administration. Control of poaching, drug and human trafficking have been possible through coordinated actions between ANC A&N Police and A&N Administration. He encouraged all to continue the efforts and the good ethos of jointmanship, a hallmark of the only Joint Services Operational Command. The parade was held under strict Covid guidelines.
