Port Blair, May 19: Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands has written a letter to the Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Secretary (Shipping), Andaman and Nicobar Administration requesting them to provide one time relaxation to the stranded passengers of Inter- Island at Port Blair, by arranging for their transport.
Mr. Ajoy Bairagi in his letter has mentioned that a large number of residents of Inter-island are stranded at Port Blair and they have exhausted all their savings and are battling for their survival. He requested the dignitaries to provide one time relaxation to the stranded residents of Inter-Island by arranging for transport.
Mr. Ajoy Bairagi in his letter has further mentioned that North and Middle Andaman totally depends on Port Blair for all its needs like for construction materials and hardwares. He further mentioned that due to the recent restrictions the construction sector is hit badly and construction materials & hardwares are not available at N & M Andaman. He requested the dignitaries to look into the issue and do the needful at the earliest.
