Port Blair, May 17: Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands has written a letter to the Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Islands requesting him to schedule ships for Little Andaman and Nicobar Group of Islands.
Mr. Ajoy Bairagi in his letter has mentioned that due to non availability of any medium of transport to Little Andaman and Southern Group of Islands more than 1000 people are stuck at Port Blair. He further added that these people have exhausted all their savings and are facing financial crunch at Port Blair. He also wrote that these residents are also finding it difficult to find accommodation at Port Blair.
He requested the Chief Secretary to look into the issue and schedule ships for Little Andaman and Southern Group of Islands.
