Port Blair, May 10: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has brought to the notice of Chief Secretary, A&N Administration that thousands of students of these Islands are pursing higher studies in different States at mainland. Due to the 2nd phase of Covid-19 many States are imposing lockdown due to which their hostels and mess are getting closed and these students don’t have any place to stay. Therefore Mr. Sharma, MP requested the Chief Secretary to kindly help these students by providing free accommodation, food and transportation facilities at Chennai, Kolkatta, Visakhapatnam and Delhi Guest houses while their journey back to Islands and also make arrangements for these students to reach their respective home keeping Covid-19 protocol.
