Port Blair, May 07: The Pahargaon Police team arrested two people on Wednesday for brewing rice beer (Handia) at Brookshabad area.
As per source, credible information was received by Police Station Pahargaon that two people are selling rice beer in Brookshabad area, taking quick action the police team of PS Pahargaon conducted raids in two different places.
First raid was conducted in the house of Mr. Sulender Sahu, 48 year old, a resident of Brookshabad from where 60 KG of Handia and other chemicals were seized.
Second raid was conducted in house of Mr. Bishnu Mahto, 39 Years, from where 80 KG of Handia was seized.
