Port Blair, May 05: Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands yesterday during the meeting with Chief Secretary was informed about the allotment for additional vaccines for Andaman and Nicobar Islands by the Central Govt.
Mr. Ajoy Bairagi expresses gratitude to the Home Minister of India Mr. Amit Shah and other officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs for allotting additional vaccines for the Islands. He further expressed his deep appreciation for the officers of Andaman and Nicobar Administration who have been constantly pursuing the issue with the authorities.
Further Mr. Ajoy Bairagi has also expressed his gratitude towards the Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands for declaring free of cost vaccination for 18 – 44 age group which will start after receiving the vaccines from Serum Institute of India for which orders have already been placed by A & N Administration.
These additional vaccines will further be used to vaccinate the left out population of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, which will take the Islands a step ahead towards becoming COVID free again.
Mr. Ajoy Bairagi has further appealed to all citizens to follow COVID Appropriate Behaviour, wear masks at all times in public, maintain adequate distance from one another and follow all the orders of A & N Administration.
He has further appealed to the people to come out of homes only when absolutely necessary.
