Port Blair, May 04: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to restart Live phone in programme through local Doordarshan and All India Radio to speak with the Health professionals, Police Officers and senior officers of the Administration directly and clarify their doubts which will create awareness among the islanders about the gravity of the situation in the second wave of Corana pandemic so that people do not throng the Hospitals for small ailments.
He said that currently we are going through the critical phase of second wave of Corona pandemic and during the current scenario, it is very important that local residents receive correct information at the right time.
The Andaman and Nicobar administration during the first wave of pandemic utilised local Doordarshan and All India Radio for disseminating information through Live phone in programmes to speak with concerned field experts directly. Therefore, the Member of Parliament requested the Chief Secretary to make similar arrangements for convenient to the Islanders.
