Baratang, Apr 23: A Daily Rated Mazdoor of Forest Department, namely Mr. Issac Tirkey was attacked by an Elephant inside the forest of Shashtri Nallah, Baratang Island.
As per reports the incident occurred this noon, when one Elephant suddenly became violent during routine works and attacked Mr. Issac, a resident of Kharanallah, Baratang.
As per reports Mr. Issac was lucky enough to survive the attack but he reportedly sustained major injuries on his right leg and head. Soon he was rushed to PHC Baratang, from where he has been referred to G B Pant Hospital Port Blair.
