Port Blair, Apr 15: Under the close supervision of Dr. Angel Bhati Chauhan, the Deputy Commissioner North and Middle Andaman an initiative have been taken on massive awareness campaign for COVID 19 vaccination throughout the North & Middle Andaman District with an aim get 100 percent vaccination to all citizens of 45 years and above.
This massive campaigning received tremendous response from the citizen and huge rush has been witnessed in all COVID Vaccination Centers in North and Middle Andaman region.
Dr. Angel Bhati Chauhan informed media that due to encouraging cooperation from the side of Islanders of N&M Andaman region the N&M Andaman District already succeeded in administering more than 50 % vaccination to 45 years and above aged citizen within last 4days.
In this connection the Deputy Commissioner urged all officials to extend their all support to achieve 100% success in vaccinating all citizen above 45 years. Mr. Mohan Kumar, Sub Divisional Magistrate (HQ) Mayabunder today conducted several meetings with ASHA, ANGANWADI and health Workers in Mayabunder, Rampur and Swadeshnagar Panchayat and gave several advices to bring eligible citizens at vaccination centers.
He assured to provide bus services for bringing the citizen of distant villages to vaccination centers for tomorrow. Besides this DC, N&M Andaman Dr. Dr. Angel Bhati Chauhan said that a special drive shall be made on 17th April for the citizen of Lauki Nallah a remotest area of Middle Andaman and a medical team has been instituted to vaccinate people of that area.
