Port Blair, Apr 09: A complaint was registered in Tribal Welfare office by members of Great Andamanese tribes recently against a person for illegally entering Strait Island, which is a prohibited Island for outsiders.
It was reported that one person namely Mr. G Sankar was illegally entering inside Strait Island by coming in a dinghy since last couple of years to buy Goats and Pigs.
It was learnt that the Tribal Welfare Department registered a case in Police Station Swaraj Dweep and after investigation the accused was identified as Mr. G Sankar 31 year old resident of Govind Nagar No. 3 Swaraj Dweep and on 5 April 2021 the accused was arrested by Swaraj Dweep police team under PAT Regulation.
