Port Blair, Oct 21: About 300 Naval NCC Cadets including girls from various Islands spread the message on conservation of precious water by Rain Water Harvesting on Saturday. The rally was flagged off by SLt (ANO) Dr. Satyam Setia from the NU NCC office, Junglighat. Addressing the cadets, Dr Setia briefed them about Rain Water Harvesting and its importance. The staff and the cadets also took an oath to conserve precious water and inform the masses regarding the same.
The Cadets shouted slogans to conserve the rain water and stop its wastage. They carried banners, placards, boards etc. Which displayed slogans discouraging the wastage of water and its conservation. They marched through populated areas of Port Blair to bring about the awareness. The rally was coordinated by A.K Sharma, CI; Anil Kumar, SO, KVG Krishnan PO and; Ravikant LRO, a NCC release says lauding the Traffic Police management during the rally.
