Port Blair, Mar 18: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to issue an appropriative directives to the electricity department to ensure proper power supply without disruption in all parts of the Islands for attending online classes and examinations of the students in view of commencement of CBSE board examinations shortly.
He said that nowadays, electricity is one of the most important essential needs for every purpose including online classes and examinations for the students, e-services, e-corners, tutorials etc and owing to corona, classes are conducting through online mode by the respective schools. The CBSE board examinations for Class X and XII are scheduled to be held shortly and the practical examinations for the science stream of 12th Class are commencing from 15th March, 2021upto 30th March, 2021 and the marks achieved by the students in the practical are also required to be uploaded on the same day by the examiners. However, due to frequent and unscheduled power cut, many schools are facing great difficulties for conducting practical’s for the science stream students in the respective schools and similarly, the students are also facing hardships for attending online classes.
Therefore, to facilitate the students for their education who are future of our Islands, the Member of Parliament Mr. Sharma requested the Administration to ensure power supply without disruption in all parts of the Islands.
